Mullein

Mullein

Known as an herbal expectorant. Excellent for expelling mucous from the respiratory track. Great for respiratory ailments such as asthma, bronchitis, persistent/dry coughs and congestion. Great for colds, sore throats and even diarrhea.
Anti-microbial and can be used to help suppress viral infections such as herpes.
Mullein can grow up to 6 feet and beyond. Due to the soft and almost furry nature of the leaves, it’s been given the name of nature’s toilet paper. It often grows in soil that isn’t the most tended to or cleanest. You can often spot mullein on the side of highways or around railroad tracks. Once in these areas it helps clean the soil and air. It also does this in the body.
Mullein oil (made from mullein flowers) is great for ear infections. A few drops in the ear of someone who is suffering will help relieve the infection.
