Celery

Season:From Summer right in to the Fall.

Looks Like: Celery used to be classified as a fruit. He is Tall, green, and handsome with leaves that look like feathers.

Feels Like: It should be firm  like a carrot and crisp like cabbage. Look at the health of the leaves to determine freshness.

In Your Kitchen: Do not separate stalks until ready to use. They can be refrigerated or frozen. The leaves and the stalk can be used raw or cooked.

Nutrients:

Vitamin K,  dietary fibers, potassium, folate, vitamin A, vitamin C, molybdenum, and manganese,calcium, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, and magnesium, and approximately 35 milligrams of sodium per stalk.
