Nettle Pesto


Nettle Pesto

  • 4 ounces of stinging nettles leaves (must blanch them in hot water to deactivate “sting”), or 2 ounces of dried nettle powder (can easily be found online), if you can’t find either, use fresh basil.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts or walnuts
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • Salt (to taste) 
Blend ingredients and serve.
